When in the Sixties, with Jacques Brissot – Luc as a sound engineer, me assistant the producer – we went in an exploratory crossway through Europe to shoot the series “Chaque Pays fête son Grand Homme ” (Each Country celebrates its Great Man) for the French TV Luc – most of the time on the way with his tape recorder and his headphones on the ears – brought back at home such sound harvest that he could not use all for the films. Then he just got the idea to compose with all this stuff “Music Promenade”.  In the Hörspiel version for the series “Sentimental Stories” this composition is mixed again with the recordings of the time. Sound images of the Portuguese army of the Salazar administration, of Shakespeare pieces in London and Paris, of a festival in honor of Jeanne d’Arc in Rouen – where we hear André Malraux – and of the seaport of Hamburg as well as of two pretty young girls of the film “Société III” that Luc had produced in 1967 for the NDR. Als wir in den sechziger Jahren mit Jacques Brissot auf Abenteuer gingen, Luc als Tonmeister, ich als Regieassistentin, reisten wir kreuz und quer durch Europa, um für das französische Fernsehen die Filmserie “ Jedes Land feiert seinen großen Mann ” zu drehen. Luc war seinerseits mit dem Tonbandgerät und den Kopfhörern auf den Ohren unterwegs, und er brachte eine so umfangreiche Tonbeute nach Hause, dass er überhaupt nicht alles für die Filme verwenden konnte. Bis er auf den Gedanken kam, daraus die “ Music Promenade ” zu komponieren. In der Hörspielversion für die Reihe “ Sentimentale Erzählungen ” ist die Komposition wiederum untermischt mit den Tonaufnahmen von damals: Klangbilder der portugiesischen Armee des Salazar-Regimes, von Shakespeare-Aufführungen in London und Paris, von einer Feier zu Ehren der Jeanne d’Arc in Rouen, André Malraux kommt vor und der Hamburger Hafen und zwei hübsche Mädchen aus Lucs Film “ Société III ”, den er 1967 für den NDR drehte.
