Chansons pour le corps

Songs for the body

Songs for the body arose from a process crossed between elements coming from the reality and the others from the imagination. I began at first to record interviews of young ladies met accidentally concerning the various parts of the body. I asked them to speak about eyes, about hands, about bosoms and about the sex. I then suggested to the novelist Colette Fellous to write poetic texts concerning these same places of the body. I have thirdly, composed with these elements, an informal and mobile score.

I ended the composition by a ” dodecaphonic song “. I indicate this fact with a certain smile, because if there is a use of twelve notes, it does not obviously get as serial music.

It is about a walk from a note to the other one, then to a third and a fourth as hands stroll on the body.

Songs for the body in my personal conception is an chamber opera as far as for me the opera is above all a multimedia.
